A former beauty queen and brand ambassador for a cellphone company has allegedly been dragged into a sensational and scandalous love story, which involves a popular rugby personality and Bulawayo socialite.
Former Miss Tourism Zimbabwe finalist and Miss G-Tide face of Zimbabwe, Michelle Gonah has been labelled a home wrecker, where according to sources she has been fingered as being the “mistress” behind Matabeleland Rugby Football Board (MRFB) chairperson Tapiwa Mangezi’s divorce.

According to sources “close” to Mangezi and Michelle, the divorce was fuelled by the alleged affair.
Mangezi, however, defended his relationship with Michelle, saying she was not a home wrecker and that he met her after the divorce.

“To address the rumours Michelle Gonah is not a home wrecker. My marriage ran its course. We faced unique irreconcilable differences until it reached an irreversible break down. I moved out of my house in October 2013. I started working on a divorce shortly thereafter. My relationship with Michelle only started in January 2014, after the divorce proceedings had begun. We are happy together and my future intentions for her are positive,” said Mangezi.

However, according to a source, Mangezi’s wife filed for divorce and left her husband after discovering the alleged affair with Michelle.

Not only has she been accused of wrecking Mangezi’s marriage but also ruining her own relationship with her now ex-boyfriend — who is reportedly the son of a prominent Bulawayo businessman.

“If all this is true then her behaviour is really unbecoming. For her to be involved with a married man at her young age that just shows how irresponsible she is. She was dating, for a while the son of a prominent businessman, who was ready to settle down with her as he intended to pay lobola for her before discovering her true colours,” said a close source who preferred anonymity.

Michelle, who is said to be at varsity in South Africa, could not be reached for comment. Her sister on the other hand said she was not aware of the issue and would advise her, stating that she was not privileged to comment on Michelle’s personal issues.

“I don’t know about that and I am not at liberty commenting on her personal issues. She is my sister, she is at school in South Africa but I will advise her and get her to comment on the issue,” said her sister, Lorcadia Gonah.
