EVERYONE knows her as the former wife of the Orlando Pirates and Warriors striker but being recognised by who you were once married to is a thing of the past for bubbly Zinhle Zizcky world Ndoro who is slowly but surely building a career, a life and a name for herself in the entertainment industry.
Known to others as Zizcky world, she told Sunday Life that she is working with one of the most respected and loved Nollywood actor, Mike Ezuruonye in a movie called Tears of a black woman. The movie will feature top South African actors as well as DJs that will be announced in due course.
She plays the lead role, Mama Chichi in the movie of a woman who was married to a poor man who later she helped acquire wealth. The man later on dumps him for another woman and she suffers with the children alone in the village.
“Playing this character got me very emotional because the woman goes through a lot with her three children. I have children and so it easier to play the role of a mother,” she said.
Zinhle said being a hard worker she is, it was not that difficult for her to land a role in the movie as she was recommended by another Nollywood actor she had worked with in the past. The actress said since she is building a name for herself in the entertainment circles it was important for her work to speak for itself so that she gets as much recognition.
“I used to work with Emeka a Nollywood actor who then introduced me to Mike because I am a hardworking and can multi-task if we are having a crisis during the shoot. I have learnt that hard work really pays off good,’ she said.
She said working with Mike was exciting even though some people may think he is a snob and doesn’t get along well with other people because of his popularity and excellence in the Nollywood industry.
“Mike is a very down to earth person with a sense of humour but he likes someone who is time conscious because in this industry you cannot afford to be late as it costs money,” she said.
Besides working in the entertainment industry, Zinhle works at a hospital in South Africa as a hospital matron during the day taking care of the sick, at night she takes off the hospital clothes and puts on the entertainment gear to take care of a different audience.
“I am a multi-tusker and I thank my mother for pushing me to be this hard working person I am. She is the person behind my success and she always reminds me to be the best I can be,” she said.
Currently she is co-ordinating a series that will feature artistes from different countries as part of the anti xenophobia campaign. The feature will bring together artists from different countries so as to fight the abuse and ill-treatment of foreign nationals in South Africa.
Zinhle said her wish was to improve the entertainment industry in Zimbabwe and create platforms for Zimbabwean artistes. -@rumbie_mbewe
