I repeat, hair is part of beauty!

SO it appears I stirred a hornet’s nest last week when I wrote the piece on eyebrows.

Well, I want you to know my dear readers that I stand firm on my convictions about what I feel about the topic. For the lady that had the decency to send me a very nasty message, I am pretty sure you did not understand or rather were ignorant of the fact that I emphasised that what I wrote was my opinion and anyone and everyone is entitled to their opinions. Anyhow, hair and beard . . . I love hair, as long as it is well kept in the form of dreadlocks, weaves, perm . . . you name it. As usual I’ll be slightly controversial here. I know that I am going to get another nasty feedback from what I’m writing. I believe that a woman’s beauty lies in her hair.

So what I cannot fathom is why some women cut off their hair? Apart from religion and medical conditions, I think women should only cut or rather trim their hair if ever they want to. The only time I have come across a lady, or women rather that cut/chop their hair off is when they are out to make a statement, such as I am tired of being looked upon as someone’s sexual gratification or when they are upset about something.

And then there comes the ones that do it because they don’t have money for weaves and all the other types of hairstyles (long).

I remember writing something similar to this a few years ago and almost getting my head bitten off by my female work colleagues. The only time you find a woman going to the barber is when she is fed up of something in her relationship and wants the world to know. Anyway I shan’t dwell much on that. As I noted hair is a woman’s ultimate beautifier and should always be well kept.

Unlike the men, who only have the option of locking or cutting it, women have so many options when it comes to hair.

So there comes the issue of maintenance, ladies ensure you wear something you can maintain and not have it looking like a dead creature on your head.

Enough said about women. Men, the only hair you can keep is locks. Anything else should be short and stylish. Mohawks are acceptable but not afros. Beard, I really don’t like long beard but I do admire those that have beards that are well kept.

However, I really do ponder how they manage to survive with that beard in summer.

All that sweat must have a nasty feel, but then again who am I to judge when I have locks and they may be thinking the same about them. Beard have, however, become fashionable of late and I guess that is why many people are keeping them.

With that said I’ll leave it at that.

Feedback:
Hi. I agree with you brother. This issue of tweezing is not good. Women should maintain their natural beauty with facial hair — 0778 299 233

Thanks for that hey I have never tweezed coz it’s disgusting and freak show stuff especially when drawn back on hell, no line extends from the nose to the ear. Next time please do foundation that comes off when sweaty. Fake lashes, fake nails and heels that are too high you can’t walk in them, I don’t do carp coz I love what God gave me. — Concerned female.

Hi, interesting article in the paper today . . . Even worse than women who remove eyebrows and draw them back, are women who redraw them using loud colours such as red or even maroon! — 0773 454 695
