Rodney teams up with Madlela

BULAWAYO singer, Thuts Rodney who once teamed up with one of South Africa’s Cash Time owners, MA-E has once again struck the right chords by featuring rhumba music king, Madlela Sikhobokhobo.

The two have produced a distinguished and promising hit named Ngibambe bambe which has a rhumba and hip hop sound. The romantic song talks about lovers having a blissful time together hence the title Ngibambe bambe which means caressing in English.

The hit has already made its debut on Skyz Metro FM Vukavuka Breakfast Show with comedian Babongile Sikhonjwa. The beat was produced by Percy from Percy Records and Larynx from Certified music Records.

The video of the song is now available on Youtube and was short by Creative Pot Africa and was sponsored by Black ivory Events.

Rodney, who recently featured on a duet with Swiss Prince from Nigeria titled Lagos to Zimbabwe, said he was humbled working with Madlela.

“A few people get the chance to work with renowned artistes. I want to thank Madlela for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent and allowing us to produce the song. Madlela is a very a humble person and I had a splendid time working with him. Hopefully, that was not the last time I get to collaborate with him,” he said.

The multi-talented superstar is an actor who is currently featuring on a drama series called Dlala Ngamla which is set to premiere on Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation next year.

He said people are yet to know him in detail as his career had just hit the ground.

“This is not my last project definitely. More is yet to come, right now my only wish is that fans appreciate Ngibambe bambe as their response and positive comments will help me improve as an artist. I will be honoured if people start following me and my music. In the future I wish to become a household musician at the City of Kings,” he said.

Rodney said he will be dropping his debut album soon and fans should expect nothing but a mouth-watering album.

“I am currently working on an album which will feature Ghanaian singer Verti. The album will be hit and I am absolutely sure that fans will love it. I urge Bulawayo artistes to be perseverant and patient in reviving the music industry in the new era Zimbabwe had just entered,” he said.
