A MAN from Dete has been arrested after he exposed his manhood to two women before threatening to impregnate them with “twins as their husbands were useless”.

Watson Tshuma (51) of Jwape Village under chief Nelukoba in Lupote, Dete appeared before Hwange provincial magistrate Ms Barbara Phiri last week who convicted him of “disorderly conduct in a public place”.  He pleaded not guilty but Ms Phiri convicted him due to overwhelming evidence. He was fined $50, failure of which he would spend one month behind bars.

Tshuma claimed that he was not aware of the allegations levelled against him, arguing that he never saw the two women on the day.

The court heard that on 6 March 2019 at 4pm, Ms Tendai Siakonoka was at her shop, Jealous General Dealer at Lupote Business Centre serving customers when Tshuma walked in. He started hurling vulgar language saying he wanted to bed her as he was a better lover than her husband whom he said was impotent. The court heard that Tshuma said he wanted to give her twins. He then turned on the customer Siakonoka was serving, Ms Balbina Nemananga and said the same words to her.

The two women decided to go outside in an attempt to avoid him. However, Tshuma followed them while exposing his manhood where he urinated pointing at the stunned women. A report was made to the police in Dete leading to his subsequent arrest. Mrs Esther Sibanda appeared for the State.
