THE Healing Jesus campaign which will run for three days starting from Tuesday 15 to Thursday 17 every night is expected to attract a historic crowd of more than 150 000 people. This will be the largest Christian campaign to be conducted at Bulawayo’s White City Stadium since independence.

The campaign which is being organised jointly by about 300 churches in Bulawayo and with the Healing Jesus Crusade will have a 5 000-strong choir, 4 000 counsellors and 4 000 ushers. The Healing Jesus Crusade was started by Bishop Dr Dag Heward-Mills, who is a medical doctor by profession and the founder and presiding Bishop of Lighthouse Chapel International Denomination (LCI).

With an unquenchable fire ardent in his bosom, and a passion for soul winning, he set out to begin the Healing Jesus Crusade.

The Healing Jesus Crusade is a non-denominational, evangelistic outreach ministry, which partners with all local churches and Christian organisations, where the crusade goes. God has blessed the crusades with notable miracles, actualising the scripture in Acts 2:22, which says “a man approved of God among you by miracles, signs and wonders.” These miracles include the blind receiving their sight; the lame walking; chronic diseases vanishing; scores receiving their deliverance from demonic oppression and even the dead raised. Evangelist Dag, with his crusade team, has held 132 evangelistic crusades since 2004 and has seen over 10 429 478 million decisions made for Christ. These crusades have taken place in every country in West Africa, the Kingdom of Swaziland, Lesotho and 28 cities in South Africa.

After the success of 132 crusades, the Lord has laid on the heart of the Evangelist to visit Zimbabwe with 14 crusades. These crusades will be held in the following towns and cities: Victoria Falls, Bulawayo, Gweru, Kwekwe, Kadoma, Chitungwiza, Bindura, Harare, Marondera, Mutare, Masvingo, Zvishavane, Gwanda and Beitbridge. All of these crusades will take place from the first week of November to the third week of December, including the Bulawayo Crusade at the White City Stadium.

The objectives of the Healing Jesus Crusade are simple:

To preach the gospel to a 100 million underprivileged people of this world; To show love and compassion to the helpless people of this world; To unite the body of Christ and the populace in the crusade centers; To promote moral regeneration among the populace in the crusade centres.

As part of this campaign there will be a two-day ministers conference for all pastors and leaders desiring to be empowered to do the work of ministry. This will be held on Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 of November at ZITF Hall 3 from 8am to 1pm.
