MOST firms including Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Masvingo are already jostling for exhibition space at the 16th Zanu-PF national annual people’s conference business expo slated for Masvingo show grounds in December.

The expo will run concurrently with the conference where about 6 000 delegates are expected to attend. Acting Zanu-PF Masvingo provincial chairman Cde Amasa Nhenjana said there has been an overwhelming response from companies in the province towards the business expo where they will be showing their wares.

The one week-long conference will run under the theme, “Moving with Zim Asset in Peace and Unity”. He said half of the exhibition space has already been taken by companies, adding that by end of November all spaces will have been booked.

“We are getting an overwhelming response for the business expo which will run currently with our week-long people’s conference.

The interest is so amazing that 50 percent of the exhibition space has since been taken and more inquiries keep on coming on daily bases,” said Cde Nhenjana.

He said the business expo presents an opportunity for Masvingo businesses to forge business linkages with other enterprises from other provinces given that it will be a national event.

He said all enterprises, big or small willing to be part of the expo should register at the party’s provincial offices.

“Zanu-PF is presenting an opportunity to local and national businesses to showcase their wares before a bigger audience.

They can also forge linkages with other companies. We expect about 6 000 delegates to attend the conference and that is not a small number.

We also have international delegates coming to the conference. Companies should take advantage of such fora to market their products,” he said.

Masvingo provincial chamber of Small to Medium Enterprises(SMEs) provincial secretary Mrs Sarah Munemo called on members to participate in the business expo so as to demonstrate their capacity to turn around the economy.
