It is alleged that these would constantly hold weekend parties at the salon which led to numerous raids from the police.

It was reportedly later confirmed that Mlilo was pansexual.

“They were four employees at the salon, namely Thabani Ndlovu, Nkosiyabo Magagula, Peter Nkomo and Lindi Nkomo all of which were known members of the LGBTIQ community. These would use their connections to attract a largely gay clientele.

“The LGBTIQ would further use the premises to hold their stockvels much to the disgruntlement of both law enforcement officers and neighbouring shop owners,” said a source on condition of anonymity.

Mlilo is alleged to have been attacked by unknown assailants with the salon also said to have been subject to looting with the perpetrators warning them to shut down operations.

“The owner at one point was attacked by some unknown individuals and left for dead, even her employees including her son were beaten for promoting the LGBTIQ community, at one point the front window was shattered with a brick and the brick had a threatening message for them to shut down operations or face the consequences,” said the source.

The police revealed that they had received a complaint from Mlilo on the alleged attack but noted that the complaint was not accompanied by any evidence.

“What we noted is that as police we have been receiving numerous complaints on the operations of that salon, that they were now posing a public nuisance through their illegal parties,” said the police in a statement.
