Giving the keynote address, founder of Pastors4ED, Mr Idirashe Dongo said he was happy with the overwhelming response from church leaders who were subscribing to the noble initiative of supporting economic development.

He said the association was overdue, as a number of clergymen were displaying an appetite to take up economic development signifying that they were sidelined for a long time.

“We are very excited that we have finally launched the Midlands Chapter of Pastors4ED Movement. We are getting an overwhelming response from the servants of God across all the church denominations in the country. This is the season for church leaders to rise and support the leadership for national development,” said Mr Dongo.

Speaking at the same event, Kwekwe coordinator for Pastors4ED Mr Norman Masiiwa said there was nothing to hide for pastors to pronounce their support for economic development and show support to the national leadership.

Cde Magura said the Government had opened doors to everyone who supports national developmental initiatives to take an active part in the growth of the country’s economy.
