MAN of God, founder and leader of Flames of Fire Apostolic Church Apostle Tawanda Shuche has fired shots at the so called luxuriant prominent prophets and Pentecostal churches in Zimbabwe.
Apostle Shuche accused prophets of wanting to enrich themselves instead of saving souls.
“God is for everyone and not only for those that can afford to tithe and offer stacks of money in church or to prophets. If it is about money then they better establish businesses and not deceive people. Also people shouldn’t be as gullible as to be told and believe in silly prophecies. The devil is real and is walking among us. Be careful of the people you believe,” he said.
Shuche, who’s growing following and church dates back to 2013, after he received a spiritual calling, said most prophets were concerned about enriching themselves and cared little about saving lives.
“It’s all about tithes and offerings to them, without mentioning any names I urge God’s clerics to also focus their energies on saving the souls of people living in rural areas,” he said.
Apostle Shuche said his aim as a man of God through his church was to reach out to people living in rural areas, where most people preferred traditional healers.
“It’s not that people living in rural areas don’t want to be saved but most of them prefer traditional healers because the options are limited. Some of these traditional healers are possessed with demons and really don’t offer solutions to issues of faith and spiritualism.
“Most of these people are deceitful and are just after people’s money. That is not what God wants,” he said.
Apostle Shuche has, since his calling, been working towards establishing a ministry that would cater for all people across the country.
“We have a branch in Silalatshani and have people that we take care of, people that are less privileged. This is what we want other men of God to emulate. Money is the root of all evil and if they prefer to have their churches running as businesses then they are lost,” he said.
Apostle Shuche said the church was established in 2013, after the Lord told him to leave his job and pursue his spiritual calling.
He said the first branch was in Gweru but he soon opened more branches in Bulawayo, Harare, Mashava and Silalatshani.
“The church headquarters are now in Bulawayo. As it stands we have about 300 congregants and hope to see the church growing. I got a calling from God in 2010, telling me pursue what he had brought me to this world to do. At first I refused but then I realise that it was inevitable, as the Lord never tired in talking to me and telling me to get up and do his job,” he said.
Apostle Shuche said the mission of the church was to save as many souls as possible, with their vision being centred on expanding to rural areas, where men of God hardly tread.
“A lot is happening, there are many spiritual battles and we need to repent while we still have time. With the grace of God we are able to give accurate prophecies and even perform miracles. There are people that will testify to being healed of HIV, cancer and even blindness,” said Apostle Shuche.
He said this was one of the few crusades that they would be hosting.
Apostle Shuche added that he would be travelling to Ghana in August, where he has been invited to preach at a crusade and church.
