THE owners of a popular Mbundane-based Tshisanyama are reportedly on the run after authorities had initially summoned them to answer charges of public nuisance.
The Shebeen cum Tshisanyama was operating at number 932 Mbundane suburb in the Bulawayo and was operated by Nobubelo Ndlovu (36).
It had over the months become quite famous for its constant parties and had also become a popular braai spot for mainly the youth.
However, t was also recently in the eye of the storm after it was revealed that it was also constantly hosting meetings of the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change hence it has since attracted the wrath of the law.
The meetings were mainly held as the party seeks to fix its structures ahead of the 2023 harmonised elections.
Police sources revealed that Ndlovu was initially arrested and appeared in court where she was ordered to appear in court after a week for trial.
Her family have however since launched an appeal for the public to help locate Ndlovu and her children; Thamsanqa Simanye Nhlakanipho Ndlovu and Sphesihle Angel Ndlovu.
“This Tshisanyama was now popular in the suburb but all hell broke loose when they started hosting members of the CCC, they were now viewed as an opposition meeting spot hence they had been constantly targeted by youths allegedly belonging to Zanu-PF.
“The police also constantly raided them for causing a public nuisance and also on allegations of inciting public violence, which is unfortunate as her only crime was having a place where anyone could relax.
“As it is we do not even know her whereabouts with her two children as after her last arrest she informed her friends that she did not feel safe for herself and her children. We appeal to anyone who might know her whereabouts to please contact us,” said a relative who declined to be named.
