SOMEONE once said, “Put your life in good hands — your own.”
Many times we try to figure out how best we can change the world to a better place. We are sometimes hit by life curve balls, mistreated, abused, cheated on, betrayed or oppressed. We start hating everything around us, even our beautiful selves. We kill our inner peace, courage, harmony and our burning desire to grow and change our lives for better.
Remember, we are the best of creation and we deserve to be the best we were created to be. Everyone at birth comes with a number of gifts that are meant to make the world glow. We are all best in our own ways — slender, fat, short or tall you are a special creation. We don’t need anyone to tell us and remind us of how amazing our presence is on this earth. Never let any situation or anyone dull your sparkle. Guard your happiness, identity and what you are destined for/ to be jealously.
We allow what happens to us to hurt us or help us grow. A lot happens to us daily — we incur losses, lose beloved ones and property. How we react to these heart piercing events will determine how we rise and get back on our feet and start moving forward again. We may be hurt to the extent of regretting why we were even created, but worrying won’t help in any way. Worrying will only make you suffer twice. Rather be resilient and take a right course, heal and move on. Be like a soldier who knows that losing one battle does not mean losing the war. Each event in life is a battle, learn from it and avoid suffering the same tragedy twice. Remember, you don’t lose, you learn and life goes on.
You are you own soldier, so you have to put up an excellent fight for what you deserve. Put on your armour and hit the ground running, fighting for your life. A soldier on guard does not slumber at work. Make sure your territory is well guarded and well fortressed with resilience. You have to work hard to get the desires of the heart. You cannot get to the top by valuing sleeping more than working. The formulae for winning as a soldier is being excellent. Excellence is a fruit of learning, training and allowing your mind to accept the good stuff learnt. Excellence is possessing good qualities in a high degree and being outstanding in what you do.
Warren Buffet, one of the world’s richest men advocates that the more you learn, the more you earn. Your best tool in everything is the mind. Empower yourself by feeding your mind with the right information. Keep your mind in the barracks of continuous training. Acquire new skills every day and learn how to solve various problems. One thing that most successful people do is enriching their minds and always looking out for new ideas and knowledge.
Like king’s watchmen on top of a castle always and finding out the advancement of the enemy to the castle, you should never let enemies come near you. The enemy is there waiting for you hungrily to turn you away from your path and drive you into regret and suffering. Watch out for friends who want to waste your time unproductively by engaging you in things that don’t contribute anything in your life. You are here for self-development, not self-destruction. We also need to fight an enemy that resides in us. Destroy procrastination, hesitation, self-doubt, negativism, inferiority complex and anything in you that makes you small and unworthy of anything.
After having managed to gather courage to fight with the enemy, equip yourself with a winning knight’s armour. You need to be furnished with patience, understanding, faith, wisdom, humility and self-respect. Being humble stands as a cornerstone in laddering people to new heights in life. If you are humble you gain a lot from other people. Humility nests most of the good qualities a man person can possess. A humble person is a vessel ready to receive more and can afford to get more as people find it easy and pleasing to deal with the people of such calibre.
Being a good person is good business. If you do good you have done well for yourself, if you do bad it’s to your own detriment. You alone can save and protect yourself more than anyone. Remember you are your own soldier, be wary of your affairs and security. Salute and celebrate yourself for being a good cadre and the world will conspire with you and fight your battles with you.
