THE ruling Zanu-PF party in Bulawayo has finalised the number of delegates from the province who will attend the National People’s Conference in Esigodini next month.

Speaking at a Provincial Co-ordinating Committee held at Davies Hall yesterday, provincial secretary for finance Cde Mlungisi Moyo said the province has submitted the names of 306 party members to the party headquarters in Harare for vetting.

He said those attending the conference should be fully paid up members.

“Monthly subscriptions have to be fully paid by all members who have been selected to attend the conference. They need to update them, the provincial office now has a swipe machine and an EcoCash facility so it is easy to pay up what is due,” he said.

He said the province has also been tasked to raise five beasts for the conference while four buses have been secured to transport the delegates. Cde Moyo said the province was also saddled with debts as it owed council $58 000, Zesa $6 000 and TelOne $26 000.

Provincial chairman Professor Calistus Ndlovu said there is a need for selected delegates to acquaint themselves with security protocols. He discouraged members against the abuse of social media to denigrate party leaders.

During the meeting, it was brought to the party’s attention that the case of Mr Mphehlabayo Malinga who was once National Youth League Secretary for External Affairs be reviewed.
