Ekuphumuleni gets donation

IT was all smiles when the St John’s Cathedral Anglican Church in Bulawayo thronged Ekuphumuleni Geriatric Nursing home to donate food groceries and share lunch with inmates last Sunday.

It was indeed a Christmas to the old age who could not hide their happiness as the Anglican members fellowshipped and interacted with them the whole day. The St John’s were celebrating their annual patronal festival in remembrance of Saint John. The Bulawayo Dean, Father Fritz Madida, led the parishioners and expressed how as a church they were working hard to reach out

Ekuphumuleni Geriatric Nursing home matron, identified as N Ngwenya said they have 38 inmates. The institution only accepts people who are above the age of 60. She also stated the necessities required by the institution for then to keep it running .
“For us to run things properly, we need 20 adult pampers, two boxes of latex gloves, 500ml Vaseline and $100 which caters for rent and food for the whole month per patient.”
