Carl’s Beef with Bulawayo
THE Zimbabwe Commercial Rabbit Breeders Association (ZICORBA) and celebrity chef, author and restaurant consultant Carl Joshua Ncube will present a business case for rabbit meat through Pop Up restaurant that will be setup during a rabbit Cook Off event to be held in Bulawayo on 9 April.
Ncube will be presenting a three course tasting menu for the lucky guests at the private function featuring rabbit dishes with a local flavour done to international standards.
The entrepreneur and innovator hopes to plant a seed in the guests attending the event that rabbit meat is a great and profitable protein that aspiring and current restaurant owners need to consider.
ZICORBA secretary general Siphosethu Ncube-Moyo said the Bulawayo event will be shown on all social media platforms showcasing the Cook Off among local Chef’s showcasing their interpretation of various rabbit dishes.
Medical experts and nutritionists will speak at the event, which is a ZICORBA initiative designed to help demystify and educate the public on the benefits of rabbit meat, sustainability and profitability of rabbit breeding.

First rabbit course: A tasty poached rabbit salad with a selection of prickled and fermented vegetables.
Second rabbit course: A fiery and sweet sticky rabbit served with potato puree and garlic butter vegetables.
Third rabbit course: A flame grilled stuffed rabbit served on smoked potato and red wine jus.
