HIGHLANDERS life member, Bheka Sibanda on Friday made a cash donation to the club that is set to go towards Bosso’s development staff.

Sibanda gave the club ZWL$13 000 which he hopes will alleviate the challenges facing Bosso and ensure the junior technical department is paid.

Sibanda’s move follows a gesture he made earlier this month when he gave the trio of Marko Dube, Bosso 90 manager, coach Melusi Sibanda and juniors manager Smart Moyo food hampers.

He said junior development remains a key area for the club.

“I am doing the little I can to assist the club meet its obligations during this trying time. As we know Covid-19 had brought so many challenges and it is up to members to chip in in whatever way we can.

“The welfare of the junior coaches is paramount but most times the focus is on the senior team because it is the one that usually attracts the bigger focus out there,” added Sibanda.

Higlanders media and communications officer, Ronald Moyo said the club is grateful for the contribution by Sibanda.

“We are thankful for the member’s contribution to the club’s continued survival.

“We are encouraged by the commitment shown by the broad spectrum of club members’ contribution in keeping the club afloat and towards its growth.

“We thank all the members, including close unmentioned because of their choice to remain anonymous,” he said.
