A NEW player has joined the grocery wholesale and retail business and has brought with it a fair pricing regime that has seen retailers and consumers flock to its doors to get the best deals in the Matabeleland region.

Good Deal Cash and Carry has become the fastest growing wholesale distributor of local and imported consumer goods, food and soft drinks in the Matabeleland region. The company was born at the height of the coronavirus national lockdown which saw unscrupulous wholesalers and retailers fleecing consumers by charging ridiculous prices.

“Good Deal aims to change the landscape by bringing back the true wholesale principle in Matabeleland. We encourage customers to engage one-on-one with the director in order to get the best deal in town at Good Deal Cash and Carry. We want to bring the cost of basic commodities down as much as possible.

“Our intentions have always been to help the people and make food and basics affordable. The lockdown saw prices of basics sky rocket due to profiteering on parts of some major players in the sector. We detest this and took matters into our hands and this resulted in the birth of Good Deal Cash and Carry — the first and last choice for every customer.

“Fair pricing is and will forever be part and parcel of our corporate responsibility that is why we engage in business practices that promote, in an economically responsible manner, the long-term well-being of the customers we serve,” said Mr Zak Patel, the company director.

Good Deal Cash and Carry’s marketing philosophy and strategy is totally focused on innovation and service. Market penetration at all levels has and will continue to be at the core of its activities.

“Our marketing campaign is hinged on ensuring that each brand is uniquely positioned and targeting its intended audience. We also aim to provide our clients with the backup they need in terms of promotional material, displays and much more to sell our brands with the help of our suppliers of course. The main thrust is to offer a broad range of high-quality merchandise at consistently lower prices. As already hinted, we are positioned to grow and offer a competitive edge that makes us extremely attractive to grocery retailers and the ordinary consumer.

“In the short period we have been in operation, we have won over a significant percentage of the retail market. This reflects the underlying strength of our business and the success of our strategies to deliver value to our retail customers, consumers and shareholders. We are guided by our core values of customer focus, innovation, patriotism, teamwork, respect, integrity, accountability and transparency.”

Good Deal Cash and Carry might not have vast years of experience in the basic commodities distribution business, but its management is competent and has excelled in other forms of wholesale and retail businesses.

It aims to be the major distributor of consumer goods to retail markets in Matabeleland and the Midlands and is determined to use its vast resources to aggressively gain market share in the years to come.

Mr Patel said: “With significant local and foreign backing, we aim to make a serious impact on the supply and pricing in Matabeleland. Our main thrust is to supply traders around Bulawayo and surrounding towns with affordable basics at extremely competitive deals and prices.

“We strive to promote the quality brands we sell with our knowledge of this marketplace. Good Deal might be relatively new, but we are proud of its accomplishments to this date. We are ready to take advantage of new challenges to come, while expanding and strengthening to new horizons of our business.”

Good Deal Cash and Carry consists of a growing number of employees. Its staff is composed of knowledgeable professionals with ample experience in the sales, marketing and distribution business. The company is already providing training and support to its employees, providing them with the backup knowledge required to penetrate the wholesale market place while increasing its client base.

The wholesale is located in Bulawayo on Stockton Street and along Swindon Road in the Belmont Industrial area immediately after 15th Avenue at Stand Number 5108. The colourful signage that brighten its walls mean one cannot miss it.

Customers who want to make enquiries can dial 0292 880779. The location is great for dispatching its daily deliveries to retailers and its retail branches in the city centre. —Advertorial.
