THE 1 200m long Champion Juvenile Stakes Grade (3) race meeting set for Borrowdale Racecourse on 27 July is the last competition for the 2018-19 racing season.
As part of preparations for this, Mashonaland Turf Club pushed out a list of six entries for this race meeting.
The winner will get the biggest piece of the cake from the $8 000 declared as stake to be alongside selected equines to fly past the winning post on this race day.
All the six entries that have been accepted to date are from the yard of trainer Bridget Stidolph.
They are led by Love to Bluff merit rated (71) followed by stable mate Wantage merit rated (65).
The third highest rated runners are Lilly Blue rated (63) just to step higher the Gimmethegreenback who sits at (61).
The last sprinter from this provisional list is Jericho who is yet to show the racing community what he is made of.
However, the fact that Stidolph has decided to give this athlete a platform to fight for a place in the final list means this bird has a story to tell the world that is if he passes all the pre-race qualifying stages.
According to the racing manager Betina Gurajena the final acceptance stage is on tomorrow while the card is expected to be pushed out around Wednesday.
As expected for now all stables are busy working on the fitness of their equines while waiting for the final list for all the competitions set for the day.
There are nine more races to be hosted on the day as the curtain to racing for the domestic racing season.
The ZRP Handicap race which is now part of the domestic racing calendar that was slated for this day as one of the feature races of the day has been moved forward to the next racing season according to Gurajena.
