PROLIFIC Bulawayo-born motivational speaker, preacher-cum-radio-personality Bhekinkosi Sibanda has penned a book on the deadly world pandemic Covid-19.
Titled Angels Imprisoned, the book is laden with information about the spread of the virus and how it can be prevented.
“It took me about three months to write the book and it is actually based on real life scenarios. Scenarios that have seen thousands of people dying across the globe. It basically touches on hygiene, how and why it is important to maintain a healthy lifestyle,” said Sibanda.
He mentioned that the book also touched on the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic.
“The book also focuses on life after the pandemic in a typical African set up. The book also has feel good factors, something that everyone is in desperate need of right now.”
Sibanda explained: “If you want a feel-good read about life before and after the pandemic, then this is it. The characters I created on real life situations and people sharing their experiences of the pandemic before and during the lockdown. Laced with a happy ending the book will surely bring tears of joy and will also change our perceptions about humanity.”
Angels Imprisoned is an epic story about the aftermath, social and rebirth of the human species. Sibanda said this was his first book and he enjoyed writing it.
“With the current pandemic situation, I decided to pen this book. Because it is a positive book, there is a fair bit of trauma, as experienced in humanity but the final outcome is good,” said Sibanda.
Sibanda has worked with Khulumani FM in Bulawayo and has had a stint with Khozi FM in South Africa and is working for an online radio station HotMix 263, which has many of its listeners in the diaspora.
