This runner from the yard of Kirk Swanson, a trainer with a good hand when it comes to conditioning runners for long distance races this connection was ruthless in the process arriving home in a record time of 2 minutes 36.13 seconds.

His lead of two horse lengths recorded is a clear indication that long distance races are his ideal menu especially putting into consideration that during the first leg he came out the third best runner.

When loaded for the second test he went a gear up finishing third, interestingly when another 400m was added to take the distance tom 2 400m from the previous distances of 1 600m and 2000m respectively this connection finally came to the party.

In second position was Sygone the bookmaker’s favourite and his running mate Colleen Story who saw their dream of engraving them names in the history book fade after winning the two legs with just one more to go.

Mia Finola also found his way up the ladder when finishing strongly in position four trailing the leader by three horse lengths.

The last placed runner to arrive home was Rain Spider while Action Jackson and Crown Brewed took the last two places respectively.
