A MKOBA woman has exposed her husband of over 17 years for living a double life by being involved in a same sex relationship.
Rejoice Maphala from Mkoba 6, Gweru had to report her husband, Khumbulani Zikhali Ncube to the police after she caught him red handed engaging in gay sex at their matrimonial bed with John Moyo.
She further claimed that she had evidence from text messages the two exchanged to prove the same sex relationship.
Maphala and Ncube have two children together- Monalisa and Lindokuhle- the oldest, Monalisa being 17 years and the youngest 15.
Police sources revealed that they had since arrested John for engaging in the indecent act, which is illegal in the country, while Khumbulani had since gone into hiding.
“We received a report from the wife, Ms Maphala who revealed that she had caught the two gentlemen engaging in sexual intercourse. One of them was arrested by one khumbulani Zikhali Ncube is on the run,,” said the source.
However, family sources revealed that Maphala’s move had divided the family as the couple’s daughters were against exposing their father.
“Maphala acted without the blessings of the entire family. Her husband, after being caught had confessed to be bisexual where he revealed that while he genuinely loved his family he was also interested in man.
“The two’s daughters begged their mother not to expose Khumbulani but she was adamant, now he has gone into hiding, we don’t know where he is but his partner (John) was picked up by the police for questioning,” said the relative who declined to be named.
The two were reportedly married in a traditional wedding in 2005.
