ZIMBABWE International Trade Fair (ZITF) deputy chief executive officer Ms Stella Nkomo bagged the Top National Marketer (Executive) award at the 2022 National Exceptional Marketing Awards held in Harare on Friday.
This year’s National Exceptional Marketing by Marketers Association of Zimbabwe awards were meant to recognise organisations and individuals who have successfully initiated marketing efforts to build reputable brands.
Included were marketers, sales executives, brand managers, public relations practitioners and other professionals in the marketing industry who have exhibited exceptional marketing prowess and at the same time showing professionalism at the highest level.
In receiving the award, Ms Nkomo was viewed as an accomplished events manager and coordinator specialising in exhibitions, conferences and events infrastructure management and has been instrumental in making sure that the ZITF Company’s exhibitions and events remain the biggest and effective platforms for business growth in the country.
In an interview, Ms Nkomo said she was humbled by being awarded the Top Marketer Award in the whole country noting that that motivated her to continue working harder. She said she owed all her successes to God, her team at ZITF, family and friends.

“I am immensely grateful for this award presented by MAZ. I was not expecting to win but I am truly honoured to be recognised as the Top Marketer of the year. This recognition will truly motivate my team and I to work even harder moving forward. The biggest honour goes to the ZITF team, industry colleagues, friends and family who have supported me in attaining the overwhelming success over the past few years. This is the beginning of greater things to come and I am excited to see what more is in store for us all”, she said.
Ms Nkomo has over the years held various positions as a business executive, non-executive director, board member, lecturer and experienced marketing and public relations executive with a demonstrated history of working in the events management industry. She is skilled in corporate strategy, business planning, events management, marketing strategy, corporate communications, and management.
