A family from Bulawayo, is seeking retribution and answers after their beloved relative, Siyabonga Dube, was tragically beaten to death following a car accident in Cape Town, South Africa.

The heart-wrenching incident, suspected to be a xenophobic attack, has left the family devastated and determined to uncover the truth behind the brutal killing.

Speaking to the media, a distraught relative of Siyabonga Dube revealed the harrowing details of the incident that led to his untimely death.

According to the relative, they received information from South Africa indicating that Siyabonga had been involved in a car accident while driving with his friend, a South African national named Patrick Fumanekile Shasha.

The accident occurred as they were travelling from Makaza site to Site B and collided with a taxi, despite the taxi being on the wrong side of the road.

Tragically, instead of receiving assistance or justice, Siyabonga faced a horrifying fate as the taxi driver and other taxi drivers reportedly turned violent upon learning he was Zimbabwean.

The group viciously beat Siyabonga to death in a shocking display of xenophobia and senseless violence.

Adding to the family’s anguish, it was revealed that Siyabonga’s friend, Patrick, failed to report the incident to the police and fled the scene, leaving the family with unanswered questions and unresolved grief.

“What pains us the most is that Patrick did not even try to seek help or report what happened to the authorities. We have been trying to locate him for closure, but our efforts have been in vain,” the relative lamented.

Despite turning to the police for assistance, the family expressed frustration over the lack of progress in the investigation, leaving them with a profound sense of injustice and loss.

In a plea for help and justice, the family is now reaching out to the public, appealing to anyone with information about the tragic incident or the whereabouts of Patrick Fumanekile Shasha to come forward and assist them in their quest for closure and accountability.

As they grieve the devastating loss of Siyabonga Dube, the family remains steadfast in their pursuit of truth, justice, and a rightful resolution to the heart-rending circumstances surrounding his death.
