ISRAEL Sebenzo’s self-titled Extended Play (EP) which was launched on Wednesday on the newly formed Israel Sebenzo Media and Entertainment Group independent recording label, has lived up to its billing as the three tracks on the EP have proved popular with music lovers.

The EP has tracks, Nyasha Dzake (featuring Carol Wutawunashe and  Marbel Jeanry Madondo), Muri Mwari (Birthday Dedication) and Ndiye Mwari (Wenyama Yose).

The EP was written, arranged and directed by Sebenzo and upon listening to the songs, one can pick up the expertise that went into the project through the golden sounds of the saxophone, the jazzy elements infused by the live brass sections and the lyrical prowess that is in the songs.

A number of celebrities have since the launch of the EP taken to social media to express how delighted they were listening to the songs.

Speaking on a video shared on Sebenzo’s Facebook page, the multi award winning Jah Prayzah applauded the release of the EP and took time to encourage the muso to keep up the good work in music.

Gospel sensations, Sebastian Magacha and Janet Manyowa commended the new music.

Magacha shared that he has known Sebenzo for long and described him as a very hard-working and tenacious individual.

“Israel knows his sound and works tirelessly towards it. When collaborating with others, he effortlessly directs them towards that sound.” Magacha said.

He also added how Sebenzo has a unique skill of bringing people together in music for the best collaborations and this was evident in his EP where he worked with seasoned musicians to bring out a top-notch quality sound.

Manyowa in her endearing message encouraged Sebenzo to keep enriching the Kingdom of God with his talent.

Other musicians that passed congratulatory messages on the release of the EP include UK based Heavens Mutambira, Zimpraise member Mellisa Makwasha and Sebenzo’s latest protege, Samantha Zigori who also appreciated him for his passion to see others flourish in their gifts.

His fans did not shy away from making their views heard once a lyric video of the EP was premiered on YouTube.

Speaking from his base in Sydney in Australia, Sebenzo said he was overwhelmed with the way the album was being taken by the public and said that the Israel Sebenzo debut EP project was not over as work on visuals is in progress.

“I am working on the release of a video for the track Ndiye Mwari as we had already started to shoot some scenes because the pandemic came forcing some companies to close.”
