Being a songwriter and  vocalist, the Afro-soul fanatic, Khwezi, real name Zibusiso Ndlovu, addresses social challenges as well as entertains the public through music.

The Incwadi hitmaker is working on releasing another album, five years after Gold, an album that was released in 2017.

It is also in that space of time where he was making hit singles and headlining live concerts in and beyond Bulawayo.

On 15 April, he dropped the visuals of his single track titled Khuza , which is now sitting on 4 455 views.

In an interview with Sunday Life, Khwezi said; “Khuza is a project where I worked with the upcoming actor Mthabisi Khumalo.

In the track, we wanted to lay down the flip side of things and how we run away from the fact that not affording to please your girl may lead to unfortunate events.

In this project, we had the privilege of working with The Boundary bar and pub as well as Sly boutique.

“Currently, the team is working on an album that is yet to be released this year.

The body of work will involve features such as Msiz Kay, Ex Mile, Ishmael Kay, and Donny Chords.

Also having worked with the talented Pride Bongani on Khuza’s video, we are set to do another one for the song Ngicela Sibonisane; the cancer awareness campaign continues with his help and expertise” he said.

In appreciation of his musical background, Khwezi said: “I grew up in a very musical family. The only way we would cheer ourselves up was through singing and dancing.

Norman Ndlovu, my father, the worst singer I know but that man would still force all of us to sing along with him. Taken by cancer last year, he left his personality imprinted in me.

He made me realise that I can be and do anything ‘Asiphileni’ he would say. He raised me, taught me and I am here because of him.”
