A CALLOUS man from Dete shocked the courts last week when he challenged his 12-year-old stepdaughter to describe his manhood in detail and say whether it was straight or bended to prove that he sexually abused her.
The 39-year-old man who cannot be named to protect the identity of the daughter made the remark while cross examining her during his trial. The man who vehemently denied ever abusing the complainant appeared before Hwange regional magistrate, Mr Collet Ncube facing a charge of rape. He was remanded out of custody to Thursday for continuation of trial.
“If indeed I raped you and you saw my body can you describe my manhood? Because if I abused you then it means you would be aware. What did it look like, was it bended or straight?” he said before he was cut short.
However, Mr Ncube rebuked him arguing that he could not ask a minor inappropriate questions unless they served a strong basis of defence.
“That is an inappropriate question, you cannot ask a minor on the details of your private parts unless there is compelling reason to suggest that your manhood has unique and distinct differences from others,” he said.
The man claimed his wife was working in cahoots with her daughter to get rid of him by framing him of the sexual offence after he had threatened to report his wife to the police for not disclosing that she was taking antiretroviral drugs.
“Your Worship, I am being framed for something I did not do, even the medical report says no injury was found of which would be expected if I had raped her since I have a big manhood. All these allegations are stemming from the fact that I wanted to report my wife to the police for not disclosing to me that she was taking ARVs. Therefore, this is an act of fixing me in that she connived with her daughter to lay these false allegations against me. Besides why would I seek sexual pleasure from my daughter when she is there,” he said.
The girl, however, clarified while giving testimony that her stepfather did not fully penetrate her, but put his manhood between her buttocks. The court heard that on 12 October 2018 at around 4pm, the girl was taking a bath alone when her stepfather entered into the bathroom.
He then allegedly forced her to bend down before removing his manhood and had anal sexual intercourse once with her without her consent. He then threatened to kill her with an axe if she disclosed the matter to anyone. However, the offence came to light when the girl’s mother noticed some behavioural changes in her daughter who was no longer eating food as she used to do before. She asked her if she was sick and that is when she disclosed that she was sexually abused. Ms Memory Munsaka appeared for the State.
