MATABELELAND South Provincial Affairs Minister Abednico Ncube has followed Vice-President Kembo Mohadi’s footsteps by adopting a servant-leadership approach by listening to the people’s concerns before taking them up for deliberation.

Addressing villagers in Johndeep in Gwanda District last week, Cde Ncube said he will continue to work tirelessly in order to improve the lives of the people in the province.

“If you are having challenges in your communities that need to be addressed, please do not hesitate to come to my office and we map a way forward. Use me for the development of the province which will lead to the development of the country,” he said.

Minister Ncube said he has adopted the servant-leadership in heading the province and has managed to be sensitive enough to the views of the public.

“I am your servant. I do what you tell me to do and if there is an issue to be addressed I do not back down until I am sure you are satisfied of the outcome. If you have children that need to be assisted to enrol at polytechnics, universities or nursing school, come forward so that we can help each other,” he said.

Minister Ncube said with the province in a rebranding move, which will see factories in the province opened and jobs created, they have met investors.

He said things will not change overnight but the nation as a whole should rally behind the Government to ensure quick results.

“The former leadership had destroyed the nation and this has had a great impact on everyone. For the nation to successfully develop, as Zimbabweans let’s rally behind President Mnangagwa in changing the country for the better,” he said.

Minister Ncube said the Government will look into the issue of food security and told villagers not to panic even if they fail to have a good harvest this year.
