SOCIAL media comedy sensation Nceku has released a single that is likely to redefine his artistic journey and be counted among the stars in the arts industry.
Nceku, born Thubelihle Sibanda, burst into the scene in 2016 with his hilarious skits which he posted on various social media platforms.
Perhaps in one of his endeavours to prove his versatility, Nceku a fortnight ago recorded and released a maskandi Christian song titled Vele Ang’kuzwa.
The track has since gone viral on social media, as well as on radio, while he is in the United Kingdom on tour. Nceku is a former member of Vocal Ex Choir group.
His spokesperson Wisdom Nyathi said despite being a comedian Nceku also had a musical background.
The song Vele Ang’kuzwa is a comic gospel song that was recorded after the trending social media hash tag Vele Ang’kuzwa.
Nyathi said the track was advising people to always turn a deaf ear to rumours and rumour mongers.
Nceku through his comics and music aims at bringing about a positive change to society through his talent.
So far the track has been played on local radio stations and is circulating on social media.
Nceku recently held his first live performance of the song in Birmingham, UK, where he was on tour.
He shared the stage with South Africa’s Dr Tumi from Spirit of Praise, as well as Minister Ellard from Zim Praise.
The eight-minute long track will be part of his live DVD recording scheduled for December. It is also available for free on Facebook and Youtube on his page and channel. -@kayskudzai
