RELEGATION threatened Zifa Southern Region Division One League side Ntabazinduna have sacked their coach, Lizwe Hlabangana after producing poor results in his 18 matches in charge of the Zimbabwe Prisons and Correctional Service owned club.

Hlabangana was shown the door after they were beaten 3-0 by Bosso 90 in a league match played at Barbourfields Stadium, which was a curtain raiser for the Highlanders-Dynamos fixture.

Ntabazinduna are in an unusual position on the log standings as they are placed 13th with just four wins, seven draws and eight losses after playing 20 games.

His assistant and former Shangani Mine and Ntabazinduna striker, Mkhulisi Tshuma is now in charge and he was leading from the sidelines in a 0-0 stalemate against Amagagasi last Sunday. His assistant is Rangarirai Nyoni and their assignment is to save the club from relegation.

Club secretary Paul Muherendi confirmed on Friday that Hlabangana was no longer with the FMC sponsored outfit, after the management drew a conclusion based on team’s performance in the last 18 matches.

“Sadly, we have parted ways with him (Hlabangana). From the past 18 games, we only managed to walk away with 18 points and the results are not pleasing as we see ourselves placed in the bottom four,” Muherendi said.

It is for the second time this season that Ntabazinduna have parted ways with a coach as former Warriors striker Agent Sawu terminated his relationship with the club earlier this year.
