THE race for the Zifa Southern Region Division League is getting hotter after the two title contenders, Talen Vision as well as Bulawayo City won their respective fixtures at Luveve Stadium on Friday.

Bulawayo City defeated Casmyn 3-2 in the first match played at Luveve, with the goals for Amakhosi scored by Canaan Nkomo, Daaryl Nyandoro and Physwell Madhazi . In the second fixture, Talen Vision overcame Ajax Hotspurs. Left link Brian Muza was on target twice for Taen Vision to take his goal tally to eight for the season.

Talen Vision remained on top of the log with 43 points while City are second with 41. Amakhosi have a game in hand as they are still to play 10 with Talen Vision left with nine. As has been the case in the past few weeks, City keep going on top of the log only for Talen Vision to regain their spot. Last week, Amakhosi defeated Bosso90 at Luveve to claim top spot only for Talen Vision to overtake them when they won 2-1 over Binga Pirates away the following day.

The two title contenders have former AmaZulu teammates in their coaching ranks, with Goldin Dube one of Try Ncube’s assistants at City while Mkhuphali Masuku is the boss at Talen Vision.
