GOING into the New Year, a lot of people have resolutions of what they would love to achieve. A vast majority want more money, others want to be healthier, some plan on quitting jobs, bad habits and a whole list of things best known to the individuals.
By all means go for it if God agrees with you, after all he empowers us to do these things. However, one thing the majority of the world seems not to notice is the spiritual calendar.
We all do a countdown or engage in prayer in the seconds between one year and the next but we never seem to notice the signs of a shift in the spirit.
People do not notice how close the rupture of the church is. It should be our primary resolution to tell those that do not know that we are almost at the end.
For those that do not know what rupture is we can find simplest explanation in the word of God 1st Thessalonians 4 verse 16 to 17
For the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will arise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.
From this we understand that rupture is an event or a time rather when those that have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour will be taken up into the clouds to meet him.
According to the word, there will be a loud trumpet sound, at this point those that died in the faith will be resurrected and taken up to meet Jesus, then those who are alive will be carried into the clouds to meet Him.
While Jesus was on earth, he told us how we would know if he was about to come. This is expressed in a number of verses.
Luke 21 verse 9
But when you hear of wars and commotion, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first but the end will not come immodestly.
Luke 21 verse 27
Then they will see the son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
If today we observe the news we read, if all signs that Jesus spoke of. They all point towards his coming. Highly likely we are the generation that will be ruptured. Some people think such massages are stupid and have been taught over and over since the time when the late Brenda Fassie sung songs like SOON AND VERY SOON. Some have been told for the past countless years that Jesus is coming soon. I think either way it is your best interest to accept Jesus as Lord. If he does not come until the day you die, you will be raised from the dead when he comes. If he comes before you die, you will be ruptured when he comes. One way or another you end up in Heaven. But in an unfortunate event where you reject His existence, if you die before He comes, your soul will go straight to hell. If he comes while you are alive you will not be taken up to the clouds with Him. Instead you will remain and experience the years of tribulation to follow.
Again, I still think it is in your best interests to accept him as your Lord. I came across an article years ago, in this article the guy said, it is better to live like there is a God in Heaven than to live like there is no God.
Because if you live like there is no God only to find out that there is, then you have lost everything. But if you live like there is a God and it turns out that there is no God you have nothing to lose.
Accepting The Lord Jesus is a simple process that requires three things to be fulfilled. The first is that you and I were born sinners.
The second is that you acknowledge the Lord Jesus Christ to be your Saviour and confess it with your mouth. The third is that you believe it in your heart. If by any chance you are one such person who has not received the Lord Jesus as your Saviour, pray the following prayer with me and it is done.
Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my life and forgive me all my sins. I confess my sins to you this day. I denounce Satan and all his works. I confess Jesus is the Lord of my life. I believe with my heart and confess with my mouth that you rose from the dead. I am saved by the blood you shed for me.
Write my name in the book of life. Today is the day I am united with the Lord Jesus. I pray this prayer in the mighty name of King Jesus.
