Sunday sermon , with Apostle Chisale
GREETINGS beloved nation in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We want to thank God for 2022 as we are still in the crucial month January. It is a month where we should continue programming the year in the realm of the spirit.
There are many keys as we spoke last time on how to possess the year in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Let us not forget that each season and each year has got its different battles.
Not only that, the enemy will not allow us to possess the year without a fight. The year also has got strong men who are sitting at the gate wanting to resist God’s people so that they will not enjoy God’s promises of the year.
We cannot celebrate a new year without any new experiences, new doors and new opportunities in our lives. When God delivered the children of Israel from Egypt in Exodus 12 we see God declaring the beginning of the month that it shall be the first month of the year.
When God gave them a new year, we see the following new experiences in their lives: First experience; We see Pharaoh letting them go.
Pharaoh represents the devil. So there was a total deliverance in their lives Second experience; We see God judging their enemies, in Exodus 12 verse 29. At the midnight the lord smote all the first born in the land of Egypt and from the first born of Pharaoh who sat on his throne up to the first born of the captives and first born of cattle.
Third experience; We hear Pharaoh crying for the people who were in slavery to bless him. So meaning God promoted them above Pharaoh. Fourth experience; The Bible says the lesser is blessed by the greater.
We see Israel being borrowed jewels of silver and gold and raiment Fifth experience; we see God giving favour to the children of Israel in the sight of Egyptians so that they lent unto them such things as they required.
And the Bible says they spoiled the Egyptians. So we cannot talk about a new year while we are still having the same problems of the past season.
So a new year in the realm of the spirit speaks of new things. Unfortunately for many Christians, the only experience that they have is the change of age.
But in their life nothing has changed, only age and birthday celebrations but their life is still the same since five years back, two years back.
I pray that in this season let us refuse to be the same like last year. We see a mystery that made the tribe of Judah take over the land of Canaan.
In Judges1:1-2 after the death of Joshua, the children of Israel asked the lord saying, Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, “Who shall be first to go up for us against the Canaanites to fight against them?” And the Lord said, “Judah shall go up. Indeed I have delivered the land into his hand.”
We see that before you possess the year there is a battle that you must contend with. And the Lord said Judah shall go up first. Judah means praise. If you want to see the promises of God being fulfilled this year in your life why can’t you send praises ahead of you this year.
And the Bible says in verse 2 Judah shall go up first, indeed I have delivered the land into his hands. So you cannot carry praise and end up a loser. This year let praise go up first. Another great man of God said “you cannot carry praise and come last in life”.
Confront this year with praise and let God know that you are not ready to come last. Praise is the key to victory. Judah will be victorious, he will confirm the defeat of the adversary.
So in every new season you cannot carry praise and end up a loser. Why can’t you praise him than for you to complain and murmur.
Many a times the reason why we don’t see victory in every new season is because we enter new seasons full of murmuring and complaining.
When we read in the Bible we will discover that God dealt with the children of Israel because of murmuring than for Israel to praise God for the parting of the Red Sea and for the favour he showed them in front of all Egyptians. They forgot. God hates murmuring.
Some people need to be delivered from the spirit of murmuring. The Bible tells us clearly that some of the Israelites could not enter the promised land because of their murmuring.
So let us praise him this year, let us give him thanksgiving, let us show him gratitude, let us celebrate his goodness, his mercy, his love, his protection and that he has kept us during the difficult years. Judah was given land because he was a praiser. So land is given only to praisers.
So this year may you possess your land. Let us use the key of praise. You cannot know praise and be empty handed. So praise is the key to successful beginnings.
To start well is to start with praise. Once again I would like to invite you to receive Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour, by believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that Jesus is your Lord and saviour, and you shall be saved.
