GOKWE-Kana representative in the National Assembly, Cde Justice Mayor Wadyajena has criticised Higher and Tertiary Education, Science and Technology Development Minister Professor Jonathan Moyo for his continued attack on Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Command Agriculture.

Addressing party youths at the Zanu-PF Kwekwe district headquarters last week on the sidelines of a preparatory meeting for the Presidential Youth Inter-Face rally slated for August in the Midlands Province, Cde Wadyajena said Professor Moyo has developed an obsession to dislike any initiative which is co-ordinated from the Office of Vice-President Mnangagwa.

“We cannot keep quiet when someone who is deemed a senior party official goes about attacking the office of the Vice-President and a Government programme which has been hailed as a success by the people and President Mugabe himself.

“VP Mnangagwa was appointed by the President and undermining an official who has the blessings of our party leader is downright indiscipline and disrespect,” Cde Wadyajena said.

Professor Moyo has been criticising VP Mnangagwa and Command Agriculture which he has infamously branded Command “Ugly-Culture”. His remarks are, however, in stark contrast to the achievements that have so far been made by the programme which has made the country self-sufficient in terms of food.

Meanwhile, the Midlands Province is expecting a bumper 70 000 crowd when the province hosts President Mugabe for the Youth Interface Rally to be held in Gweru next month.

Addressing delegates and party youths during the event, the Midlands Zanu-PF secretary for information and publicity Cde Cornelius Mupereri called upon the Kwekwe District leadership to mobilise people who will attend the President’s rally.

“We are looking forward to a massive attendance and what we have to put in mind is that August is not very far away. We should start preparing for the event now so that when the President comes, he is definitely going to see a united province waiting for him. We want to surpass all other provinces in terms of attendance. Our target is 70 000 plus in terms of attendance,” he said.
