A FORMER employee of the ruling party’s owned Zidco is in trouble with authority on allegations of leaking sensitive information to the opposition MDC-T.

Qubekani Ncube was employed as a data analyst by the company and was directly responsible for maintaining the Zanu-PF membership database.

According to police sources, it later emerged that Ncube worked with some members of the opposition where he would provide them with a list of Zanu-PF members.

It is also alleged that he also provided details on how the party was involved in the abduction of opposition members and also certain security matters relating to the party.

His escapades were reportedly exposed after an operation nabbed one of the MDC-T members- Freedom Nezhou, whom it is alleged, Ncube was providing the sensitive.

“Previously, Ncube denied ever leaking any sensitive information despite heavy suspicions from the party and the Zidco management, However, his luck ran out when police arrested one of the MDC-T members he was working with, who exposed him, giving us that had been happening and even revealing the documents that he would provide to them.

“Ncube was then asked to report to the police but he seems to have gone into hiding as efforts to locate him have hit a brick wall, we, therefore, appeal to anyone who might have information that may lead to his arrest to approach any police station next to them,” said the police source.

Sources within Zidco revealed that Ncube was further suspected to have stole and leaked some documents relating to how the party conducted its elections.

This publication managed to interview some of Ncube’s friends who revealed that he told them that he now feared for his life as he was being accused for things which he had not done.

“Ncube alleges that the party thinks he leaked information regarding the party’s rigging mechanisms although he denies all this. He further says he thinks he will not get a fair trial within the system,” said the friend on condition of anonymity.
