DESPITE economic challenges, Global Link has soldiered on and today ranks among the top companies in the country that have helped other citizens realise their dreams.

The company specialises in job and university recruitment to Europe, Asia and America. Their services also include university applications, scholarship applications, job placements and visa processing to any country and air ticket booking.

In Bulawayo, Global Link Zimbabwe is situated at Mimosa House in the Central Business District.

In an interview, company director Mr Cyril Makande said Global Link Zimbabwe was only operationalised this year but on a personal capacity he has been offering the services since 2015.

“Global Link Zimbabwe was opened this year on 1 March but I have been in the industry since 2015 when I was working for another organisation that facilitated the placement of people to Poland. The company has managed to create employment for eight people,” he said.

Mr Makande said since it opened its doors, his company now boasts of four branches across the country.

“The organisation has four branches with one in Bulawayo, Gweru, Mutare and the other one in Harare,” he said.

“Since March, the company has managed to secure full scholarships for five students within the country.”

Mr Makande said looking forward, the company was expecting to help more people to realise their dreams outside the country.

“Our future plan is to get as many full scholarships as possible so that we can help students travel abroad to learn and acquire knowledge. We also want to go international and be the number one brand in Southern Africa specialising in education and travel consultancy,” said Mr Makande.

However, like other companies in Zimbabwe, foreign currency challenges have been a major problem.

“As a company the main challenge we are facing is that of getting foreign currency to pay for the services we get from the countries,” he said.

“At the moment we have four vacancies closing on 30 June for the September intake so anyone interested must come forward so that we might help them apply.”
