Graffiti art for teenage bedroom

WE’RE always constantly looking for ways to spice things up a little bit in our homes.

Sometimes, things get a little boring and we try to find ways of making them a little interesting.

I know for a fact that I want someone to open my front door and be ushered into an inviting, warm and stylishly chic home.

I want my guests to feel like they’re in a five-star hotel and have lots to marvel at.

So, I came across the idea of graffiti art as a way of enhancing the outlook of your home.

A little radical, I know but you’ll be surprised how it can bring a fresh touch to your home.

If you’re a little skeptical, try out a small mural on a portion of your wall outside.

But if you’re bold enough — go big on the wall in your hallway, bedroom or lounge.

Graffiti art is making its way from the streets to ultramodern lofts. Once thought of as a sign of urban decadence, wall writing has evolved into a highly-valued form of artistic expression that not only gives insight into the history and culture of communities, but also greatly inspires popular culture.

Although still negatively stereotyped, the gritty aesthetic of graffiti is becoming more and more prevalent in fine art, marketing, fashion, and lately, it has been consistently crossing the barrier between the urban and the domestic.
A flashy mural paired with abundant greenery turns the patio space into an exotic garden. The combination of brick, concrete and metal accents is a perfect setting for an ostentatious, black and white graffiti work.

A simple idea can give a tremendous effect when it’s spiced up with a little humour. There’s nothing like visual overload in a teen’s bedroom. Energetic and dynamic in nature, just like the maturing kids, urban art is a perfect conveyor of feelings, dreams, frustrations and mindsets.

Hip graffiti wall art in a teenager’s bedroom is a fantastic way to add life to a rather dull-looking interior. So, what’s your take on graffiti decor? Is it ever cool or should it stay where it originated? — decorlove.com
